This week whistler is hosting the AXE concert. Admission is free so why not. You can ski all day and then go see a spectacular concert. It's at the skiers plaza from 2:30 to 5:30. It's on from april 15 to april 24 so it's almost over! There will be performances by KO, Black Mountain, Tokyo police club, Broken social scene and more. The mountain bike season is going to start soon as well so a good time to go mountain biking. the crankworx start July 16-24 so those are always really cool to check out. Hi everyone
Whistler has had a really warm week. It was six degrees in the valley today and minus two at the top. My favorite run this week is "in the spirit". It's a good alpine run and has lots of twists and turns. It's a black run so check it out. They are also having the annual Telus winter class Jan 30- Feb 6: which is a fundraiser for whistler blackcomb. Also if you have an edge card you can ski for 66$ a day until Feb 14. mountain conditions

Whistler is doing fine for conditions. The have had 61 cm of snow in the last week! The peak temperature is -8 and the base of the mountain is -5. There is good powder at the top but the base is groomed. All the chairs are open including the peak to peak. But there is a few gondola's that open at different hours.
The Whistler Gondola, the Creekside Gondola, the Excalibur Gondola and the Wizard chair all open at 8:30 am and closes at 3:00 pm. That's all for this week! Bye

Whistler is suppose to have a record level of snow this year! The favorite course for Blackcomb this week is Arthur's choice. And for whistler is in deep. If you have time check those out. There are no problems at the mountains this week because the mountains are not open. If your going up to whistler this weekend check out market place hotel. It's close to the mountain and has buses coming all day. If your up their this weekend try the grizzly bear zip chreck run. I tried it in the summer. It's so cool, you can do tricks in the air while going 100 km an hour. Have fun!
